Make a 3D animation with Claude, no Blender

Claude writes the 3D scene, the animation and the music as code. Your browser renders the frames. One command turns them into a video.

You needClaude Code (Pro plan or higher), Node.js, ffmpeg
Graphics cardNot needed: it renders in a normal browser
Our 12 s film360 frames, about 11 minutes to render on 2 CPU cores

Checked on 23 Oct 2026. Tools change fast, so the official page always wins if it says something different.

What you need first

1Claude CodeInstalled and signed in (included with Claude Pro).
2Node.js + ffmpegClaude Code can install them for you: just ask.

Step by step

Make a folder and open Claude Code in it

Any empty folder works.

Terminal (Mac or Windows)
mkdir my-3d-film && cd my-3d-film && claude

Paste this prompt

Change the idea in the first line to your own. Claude writes the whole scene, the timing and the music.

Prompt for Claude Code
Make me a 12-second vertical (1080x1920) 3D animation, 30 fps: a cute robot hops across 4 big colourful buttons labelled SCAN, MAKE IT, EDIT, POST; each press makes something pop up above (cards, a phone, timeline bars, hearts), then 3D text says MADE WITH CLAUDE.
Build it with three.js in one HTML file with a window.renderAt(t) function (soft clay look: rounded boxes, physical materials, room environment light, soft shadows, a camera that hops between the buttons).
Write a Node script that opens it in Playwright (software WebGL: --use-angle=swiftshader) and saves every frame as a PNG.
Write a Python script that makes a lo-fi beat at 120 BPM plus a boing for every hop and a click for every press, timed to the animation, as sound.wav.
Then stitch frames + sound into film.mp4 with ffmpeg. Show me 6 preview stills before the full render.

Check the stills, ask for changes

Say things like: camera wider, robot bigger, slower hops, different colours. Claude edits the code and re-renders the stills.

Render and stitch

Claude runs the render (about 11 minutes for 12 seconds on 2 CPU cores) and the ffmpeg command:

What it runs at the end
ffmpeg -framerate 30 -i frames/f%04d.png -i sound.wav -c:v libx264 -crf 17 -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:a aac -shortest film.mp4
