God's Eye View: the whole planet, live, on a 3D globe
The free app from the reel. It looks like a spy satellite, but every layer is real public data: 11,000+ live flights, satellites, earthquakes, public cameras and more, with night vision and thermal looks. It runs on your own computer and opens in your browser.
Checked on 19 Oct 2026. Tools change fast, so the official page always wins if it says something different.
What you need first
Step by step
Install Pinokio
Go to pinokio.co, click Download Pinokio and install it like any app. If you already have it, update to 8.2 or newer (older versions had an install bug).
Tip: Only download Pinokio from its official site.
Open the app in Pinokio
Open the God's Eye View page on Pinokio (link below) and click Install. When it's done, click Start. Pinokio installs everything it needs and finds a free port.
Use it in your browser
It opens in your browser. No account and no keys needed for flights, military traffic, satellites, earthquakes, public cameras, radio and launches. Click any plane or satellite to track it, try the night vision and thermal looks.
Optional: power it up
Open the POWER UP panel in the app to add keys. Free: AISStream (live ships), NASA FIRMS (live fires), Cesium ion (photorealistic 3D cities, personal non-commercial use), TomTom (traffic), Mapillary (street photos). Paid per use: Google Maps and OpenAI (voice).
Prefer the terminal?
Needs Node.js 24 (24.14+) or 26: git clone https://github.com/bilawalsidhu/gods-eye-view.git, cd gods-eye-view, npm ci, npm run doctor, npm run dev, then open http://localhost:4173. Docker also works: docker compose up.

The catch
- The data can be late or wrong. The README says it may be delayed, incomplete, modeled or wrong. Never use it for flight or ship navigation, emergencies or anything safety-critical.
- Voice costs money. Voice control uses the OpenAI Realtime API, which is billed per use (the app has a $2 warning and a $5 hard cap per session). The globe itself is free.
- It runs on your own computer. There's no hosted website yet. Don't share your running copy on a network: anyone who can reach it can use the API keys you added.
- Some layers are estimates. Traffic is simulated on real roads, and camera angles and rocket paths are rough.
