Marketing Skills: a free marketing team for Claude

The free, open-source repo from the reel. It gives Claude Code 50 marketing skills it follows like playbooks, from landing page fixes and cold emails to SEO audits, AI search, ads, pricing and launches.

What you need first

1Claude CodeAnthropic's coding agent that runs in your terminal. It comes with a paid Claude plan (Pro or above).

2Node.jsFree from nodejs.org. It gives you the npx command the install line uses.

3A project folderAny folder for your business or website. The skills and your product notes live there.

Step by step

Open a terminal in your project folder

That's the folder you'll run Claude Code in.

Run the one install line

npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills. It asks where to install; pick Claude Code (it goes into .claude/skills/).

Tip: Running it from inside a Claude Code session? Add -a claude-code to the end so it installs where Claude Code reads it. Only want a few? Add --skill cro copywriting.

Or use the plugin instead

Inside Claude Code type /plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills, then /plugin install marketing-skills.

Describe your product once

Start claude and ask it to use the product-marketing skill to set up my product context. Answer its questions about your product, audience and positioning. Every other skill reads this file first.

Just ask

Plain English works: audit my landing page, write a cold email sequence for my offer, run an SEO audit on my site, help me price my product, plan my launch. Claude picks the right skill.

Tip: Using the Claude app (claude.ai) instead? Download a skill's -claude-web.zip from the repo's Releases page, then go to Customize → Skills → Create skill → Upload a skill. One skill per ZIP.

The catch

The full set is built for Claude Code. In the Claude app you upload skills one at a time, and a ZIP doesn't connect to your tools (no CLIs, MCP servers or logins).
It gives you the plan, you still run it. Skills write audits, copy and strategies. Publishing, sending and paying for ads is still on you, so check everything before it goes out.
Some ideas lean SaaS. The marketing-ideas skill is a list of 140 SaaS ideas. Local businesses will skip some of them.
The README promotes the author's paid agency, newsletter and training, and lists sponsored partner tools. You don't need any of them, the skills are free.
