Run a free AI video model with sound on your own computer
LTX-2.5 turns a prompt or a picture into video with sound made in the same pass. It runs in ComfyUI with ready-made templates.
Checked on 23 Oct 2026. Tools change fast, so the official page always wins if it says something different.
What you need first
Step by step
Install or update ComfyUI
Get it from comfy.org. The official LTX-2.5 templates ship with the latest version.
Open the template
In ComfyUI open Templates and pick the LTX-2.5 text-to-video or image-to-video template. Let it download the model files (pick a quantized version if your card is smaller).
Write your prompt
Describe the scene, the camera and the sound. Put spoken lines in quotes so it makes voices, and describe sounds (rain, footsteps, crowd) so it adds them.
Run it
Press Queue. For 4K use the template's upscaling pipeline. Prefer no nodes? LTX Desktop (ltx.io) is an easier app.

The catch
- Needs a strong NVIDIA card. The official minimum is 32 GB of VRAM; smaller cards work with quantized checkpoints but slower. Mac and AMD aren't officially covered.
- Short clips. Examples are around 5 seconds; 4K uses an upscaling step and is heavy.
- License. Free incl. commercial use for organisations under $10M yearly revenue; above that you need a paid license.
- Real people. Don't generate real people without their consent.
