Anthropic's free plugins that make Claude an expert at your job
Anthropic open-sourced a set of plugins, one per job role. Each one gives Claude the skills, steps and tool connections for that job, so it works like a trained teammate instead of a blank chat.
Checked on 9 Oct 2026. Tools change fast, so the official page always wins if it says something different.
What it does
- 11 plugins: productivity, sales, customer support, product management, marketing, legal, finance, data, enterprise search, bio research, and one to build your own.
- Each plugin bundles skills (how to do the work), slash commands like
/sales:call-prep, and connectors to tools such as HubSpot, Slack, Notion, Canva or Microsoft 365. - Sales researches prospects, preps calls and drafts outreach. Marketing drafts content, plans campaigns and keeps your brand voice. Legal reviews contracts and NDAs. Finance helps with reconciliations and reports.
- You can edit them to match how your business works. They're just text files.
What you need first
Install (pick A or B)
A. In Claude Cowork (no terminal)
Open the Claude desktop app and go to Cowork. Open the plugins page (or go to claude.com/plugins), find the plugin for your role, made by Anthropic, and install it.
Start with ONE plugin for the job you do most. You can add more later.
B. In Claude Code: add Anthropic's plugin collection
Paste this in your terminal (Mac: Terminal · Windows: PowerShell).
claude plugin marketplace add anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins
B. Install the plugin for your role
Swap sales for the one you want (marketing, finance, legal, productivity…).
claude plugin install sales@knowledge-work-plugins
Tip: Then in Claude Code try a command like /sales:call-prep.
Give it a real task
Ask for something you'd normally spend an hour on, in plain English. Check the result like you'd check a new hire's work.
Tasks to try
Copy one, paste it in, and watch it work.
I have a sales call with [company] tomorrow. Research them and give me a one-page call prep.
Plan 2 weeks of marketing posts for [my business] and write the first 3.
Review this contract and list anything risky, in plain English. (Not legal advice: check with a lawyer.)
Turn this spreadsheet into a short summary my boss can read in 2 minutes.
The catch
- The plugins are free, Claude isn't. You need a paid plan.
- Connectors need your accounts. To use your CRM, email or docs, you connect them first.
- It's a helper, not a professional. The legal and finance plugins don't replace a lawyer or accountant.
- Check before you send. Anything that goes to a customer, read it first.
