Prompt Master: a Claude skill that writes your prompts
The free, open-source skill from the reel. Tell Claude what you want in plain words and it writes the prompt for the AI tool you're using: it works out which tool it's for, asks up to 3 questions if something important is missing, and gives you one clean prompt to copy.
Checked on 19 Oct 2026. Tools change fast, so the official page always wins if it says something different.
What you need first
Step by step
Download the skill
Open the GitHub page (link below), click the green Code button, then Download ZIP. Keep it zipped.
Upload it to Claude
On claude.ai go to Customize → Skills, click Add, then Upload skill, and pick the ZIP you downloaded. Make sure the skill is switched on.
Ask for a prompt
In any chat, say what you want and which tool it's for, e.g. Write me a Midjourney prompt for a realistic samurai standing in the rain at night, or I need a prompt for Claude Code to build a REST API, ask me what you need to know.
Answer its questions
If something important is missing it asks up to 3 short questions. Answer them and it gives you one clean prompt to copy, plus a one-line note on why it's written that way.
Fix a prompt you already have
Paste a prompt that isn't working and say fix this for ChatGPT (or Stable Diffusion, Cursor...). It rewrites it for that tool.
Tip: Claude Code user? The README also shows a git clone into ~/.claude/skills, but the author recommends the claude.ai upload.

The catch
- A better prompt helps, it isn't magic. You still need to check what the AI gives you back.
- It may ask questions first. Up to 3, when something important is missing. That's by design.
- "Zero tokens wasted" is the author's marketing line. It cuts re-prompting, but nothing is free of tokens.
- Model names in its tool list are the author's own labels. If a prompt depends on a specific model version, check that tool's own docs.
- It writes prompts, it doesn't run the other tools. You copy the prompt into Midjourney, ChatGPT, Sora and so on yourself.
